One month home !

Here we are over a month home already ! Hard to believe we are already working on our first post placement and will meet with the social worker to have it done next week.

The girls have adjusted amazingly well and are always such a delight. We know that having each other played a big part in the easy transition as they love to be with each other and to see that the other one is there. They sleep in the same room and love to go to bed which still amazes us to this day and they slept through the night from the first night we were home. They eat lots of different foods and LOVE to try new food too when the chance happens.

Marika always makes sure that whatever she has like food or cuddles or kisses that Karelle gets the exact same thing. They are very cuddly children and full of energy and always trying to make the other one laugh...

Everyone keeps telling us how it must be a lot of work to have adopted two at the same time but we think differently. I can just imagine the comments we will get when our family grows again.

We think that it made it easier for the girls as they have each other to play with, laugh with, eat with, go to the park with, play in the bath with and everything else that they get to do together! Plus we have never had one child so we would never know the difference anyways !

One thing that made me laugh the other day is that someone told my husband.. "WOW going from one to two children must have been a BIG adjustement for you" and Pierre just said.. the only thing that i'm still getting used to is having my socks stick to the floor ! I thought that was really cute as for me the only big thing that I can think of is that I NEVER imagined that two babies could create SOOOO much laundry !

Marika and Karelle have brought so much joy to our lives and Pierre and I could have never thought that parenthood would be this wonderful. Its 100% better than what we could have ever imagined. The love you have for your children is something that again cannot be explained in words and a feeling that I am soo greatful to be able to experience. We love being parents and having the girls say Mommy and Daddy when they call us are the sweetest words. They fill such a big place in our heart!

We look forward to the years ahead with the girls and we hope that we will be blessed with more children... we know that when the time is right be it through pregnancy or adoption, our children will make their way to our hearts just like these two did !

So here are our refferal picture that we received back in February when we found out we had two daugthers and pictures of the girls now! The pictures with the white background were scanned into our computer so sorry for the poor quality but I really wanted to share them :)

This is what they do when they say Hi or Bye to someone at our door as there is a gate on the other side stopping them from going down the step so they stay and wave from behind the railing !

I cannot believe how they have grown even since they have come home. You can tell the difference of what Good Lovin does for little people.
You're right Lisa, there is NOTHING like being a parent. It truly is the greatest gift of life. Thanks for sharing the pictures

What a blessing that the transition has gone so well. Your girls are so beautiful- I love how their smiles shine in their whole face. If they can melt our hearts and we haven't even met them, I can only imagine how in love you are! Isn't it wonderful to be Mommy and Daddy?
