Our Second Maritime Families Gathering !

This past week-end, we held another gathering for families adopting from Ethiopia in Halifax. Three of us families spend the week-end at one of the families place, went to visit Peggy's cove on Saturday and then all met up for supper on Saturday night at the Ethiopian restaurant downtown.

It was great to see familiar faces again and to meet new families that we had not yet met !

The restaurant owners were wonderful, the food was also great. I had never tasted Ethiopian cuisine and found it to be very very good ! We are going to visit again in the future and bring our little ones to meet the owners once we are home. They are the first Ethiopian family that we have met, they were so excited about our adoption and to meet our little ones....

It is really great to connect with other families that are going through the same process. We were able to talk about a lot of different things and one of the families had just arrived from Ethiopia and they were also able to share a lot of their experience and tips on a lot of stuff. It was also very real to see the picture that they had taken in Ethiopia.

We are really looking forward to making our own memories of our adoption trip to Ethiopia !
