Fallen soldiers......

I would like to post today about the Canadian soldiers that have recently lost their lives this week in Afghanistan.... There were two more from Canada killed today... Please keep their families in your thoughts....
We were really sadden to hear of the bombing that took their lives and even more scared as we have a close family member, Jamie Goguen who is Pierre's cousin that is currently in Afghanistan as well. We were able to see Jamie on the news as they showed a video of the troops saying their farewell to their fellow Canadian soldiers at their sendoff yesterday....
We miss Jamie terribly and cannot wait to see him again later this fall.... He was able to see pictures of Marika & Karelle from Afghanistan which is fun as he will be Marika's godfather !
We are going to wait for him to be home to hold the ceremony.
We are so proud of him and think of him all the time!
We are so proud of him and think of him all the time!
Please take a moment today to think of all the sacrafices these people are making for us and wear red on Friday ! http://www.redfridays.ca/
Here is a great story about wearing RED on Fridays to support our Canadian troops...

Hi Lisa,
This post hit home to me in a personal way as my nephew is serving with the British army in Iraq right now. They are under heavy bombing and attack ALL the time. He is only 19 years old as are most of his fellow soldiers. He phoned home last week to say that many times, someone on duty ends up in tears because they are scared...I am so sad to think of all these teenagers serving valiantly and yet being so very scared.
Yes, let's remember our troops and please also remember my special Daniel in your prayers.

Hi Lisa,
This last attack hit way to close to home for me as well. One of the girls I work with, her boyfriend was one of the men that was thrown out of the vehicle, hurt but released last week.
I hope and pray that this war would find some resolve quickly!
The men that died were all so young and their lives were cut so short! I pray for their families and friends!
Louise
